Map and Directions
Red Oaks is located in the heart of lovely Long Grove,
Illinois about 35 miles northwest of Chicago. This
historic village dates back to the early 1800's. The
village was founded by German farmers who were reminded
of their Saar Valley homeland. The small community
they built has been well-preserved and charms visitors
to this day. Long Grove is known for its historic
business district (with about 80 unique shops and
restaurants), cobblestone pathways, fountains, public
art, and a real covered bridge. It is also known for
its well-attended festivals, including spring's Chocolate
Fest, summer's Strawberry Festival, and autumn's Apple
Festival. Free parking and no admission fees make
it perfect for a day trip. We are south of Mundelein,
Hawthorne Woods, and Vernon Hills; east of Kildeer,
Deer Park, and Lake Zurich; west of Lincolnshire and
Deerfield; and north of Arlington Heights and Palatine.
